The role

This is a unique opportunity to scale product development in a cross-functional team capacity. We’re looking for an experienced manager who will help us make the portfolio planning process scalable, effective and people oriented.

You will partner with functions across the HelloFresh tech organizations (i.e. Product, Design, Engineering, Program Management, Agile Coaches and Data) to meaningfully increase the visibility and transparency of changes that improve customer experiences and that are crucial to the success of HelloFresh.

You will build a tight feedback loop with your partner teams, understand how existing processes could improve to support organizational scaling, then prioritize changes and engage with teams on adopting them. Being a partner to these functions, you will liaise with other business functions (People, Finance) on supporting the efficiency of multiple tech functions processes.

You have proven ability to design and implement scalable processes across large organizations and will be required to showcase exceptional leadership across cross-functional stakeholders, outstanding ability to solve problems in ambiguity, and excellent communications and project and process management skills. The role requires ability to influence decisions through qualitative and quantitative insights on strategic levels.

The team

The Portfolio Management team governs strategic alignment in the tech organizations of HelloFresh. We implement frameworks, processes and tools that help understanding how teams deliver value to customers and how their efforts contribute to the group objectives and key results, so that teams achieve maximum return of investments and leadership has accurate and relevant information to make investment decisions. We take a bird’s eye view on the tech organizations, allowing us to connect the dots, surface critical dependencies and information as well as highlight gaps.

What you’ll do

  • Design and launch cross-functional frameworks, processes and artifacts that anticipate organizational needs and scaling and that promote transparency, optimal balance between alignment and autonomy, and highest returns of investment in digital product development teams
  • Partner with leaders to onboard teams on the frameworks, processes and artifacts and foster adherence to them by ensuring they are useful and usable for the different teams across the organization and up to date with HelloFresh business
  • Engage and collaborate with product development teams, leadership and stakeholders globally in identifying and closing gaps in knowledge, ways of working and communication related to all phases of product development
  • Apply a data-driven approach to understanding the tech domains, their strategies, initiatives and people to ensure the right level of investments in capabilities and resources are in place to deliver impactful business results

Who we’re looking for

  • Extensive experience with agile product development process in a tech company, with experimentation frameworks and thorough understanding of digital products development life cycle
  • You are a curious, highly structured critical thinker with a product mindset who can operate as an individual contributor identifying and solving problems at scale by connecting processes and people across teams
  • You thrive in a fast-moving, ever-growing scale-up environment and are an expert on designing and implementing global processes and projects that enable organization scaling and agility, and excel in collaborating with all levels of an organization to achieve exceptional results
  • You have experience working with senior leadership, you are confident to influence business decisions through quantitative and qualitative insights that continually drive optimization
  • You are an outstanding written and oral communicator, can explain complex concepts and know how to encourage action in your audiences
